YAFO Capital was honored to be invited to participate in the 2024 KDDF Global Biotech Showcase at the Grand InterContinental Seoul Parnas in Seoul, from July 18 to 19, 2024.

KDDF, which is the largest non-dilutive funding provider to the Korean biopharmaceutical industry and academia, organized the 2024 KDDF Global Biotech Showcase. The event aimed to support business development activities that could advance programs and ensure successful commercialization. The showcase offered international investors an opportunity to invest in over 300 promising compounds and technologies that KDDF had screened and selected based on their scientific excellence and commercialization potential. 21 venture capitalists (Abbvie Venture, ASCENTA Capital, Boehringer Ingelheim Venture Fund, DCI Partners, etc.) across the USA, Europe, and Asia participated.

Global VC Panel Discussion

During the showcase, the representatives of YAFO Capital Fan Zheng (Managing Partner, Head of Execution) and Wendi Xiang (VP, Head of ACCESS CHINA) gained an in-depth understanding of the promising compounds and technologies selected by KDDF, assessed their scientific excellence and commercial potential. They also engaged in profound one-on-one discussions with Korean biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies that were aligned with YAFO Capital's investment strategy and needs, laying the groundwork for subsequent cooperation.
